Social anxiety is annoying
It is the worst form of anything on this planet. Well, from a social standpoint if you know what I mean. I can't express how annoying it is to have. You want to be social and have a life outside of this crazy debilitating disorder but it never lets up. It's not supposed to I guess, without professional intervention. Obviously, or else it wouldn't be called a DISORDER!! It's impossible to get a job, or so it tells you. If you are one of the fortunate few that have successfully gotten one amidst the problem that doesn't make it go away. You think that once you get out there that you may "get used" to being around people. Yeah right. It's actually more of a problem in a sense. Sure you have a job, you earn some money. But then your coworkers are always saying "Why don't you talk? why are you so quiet? are you always this quiet?" etc. They think you are being snobby or rude. That's the worst part of having it, people think your some stuck-up goody two shoes who is too good to be around. If they only knew how difficult it was to put yourself out there. For normal people it's hard, but for people with social anxiety it's a heart attack in the making. It's like taking someone who is scared of heights and putting him in a hot air balloon then telling him "get over it." A fear of heights is the same of people with social anxiety. We fear interaction, looking stupid, embarrassing ourselves, or being the center of attention. It's just a really annoying thing to be stuck with. It's not like I want it. It's not as easy as "just get out there, get out of your shell." It's not that simple. I wish it was but it's not.
