Clint Cummings

Wow...where do I even begin with the words which have created the name of the man that is so unbelievably amazing? I don't even know where to begin. Oh my word, I would give anything to meet him. Maybe not just for a tattoo (even if that is a future goal) but just to see him and chat with him. Not jump all over him and lavish him with crazy affection, that would be totally unethical. I just want the experience of talking with him and hearing him joke around with his amazing sense of humor. Ugh my word...he's just awesome and I yearn for the day to meet him. I don't care how long I have to wait, but I will see him one day.

Ink Master Finale, baby!!

As you can pretty much tell that two days ago was the finale of my beloved Ink Master. It was really fun watching it live, which was it's first time airing that way too.
Anyways...obviously Sebastian didn't have what it took, I knew that from day one of watching the show (no offense). But come on, Clint had more talent than Sebastian and he gets voted off for ONE lame dragon tattoo. I think a few of the judges were letting personal issues get in the way of professionalism. As the finale drew on, I could pretty much tell who the winner was. That's right, Steve Tefft was the WINNER!! Yes!! I really wanted Sarah to win too, but Steve had a really impressive report card based on all the episodes. Props to Steve and may he continue to do great tatts. Sarah, props to you as well for being the business for SIX years but doing work as if you've been doing it for 20+. They also had a voting thing at the end where you can vote on a disqualified member so they can appear in season 3. I voted for Clint. Obviously. But Tatu Baby got 75% of the voters. TO be honest it was probably a bunch of horny guys that voted. I'm kind of happy Clint didn't get it only because if he did then he'd be more famous and then my chances of getting him are nonexistent. They are nonexistent now, but still..you get it!
     I guess that's it for Ink Master season 2. I can't wait until the third season comes out. Maybe one of these years I will enter to be a human canvas. But I'm really looking into having Clint do my first tatt someday.

Today is not the first day of the rest of my life...

...and I'd better remember that. As I said previously, we are on a grape tomato planet so I shouldn't be so concerned about life and what happens to me in it. Though it's tempting to give into the fear that everyday life brings. I'm just not a fan of this part in life right now. I feel like I have a ton of catching up to do where the rest of my peers are way ahead of me. I kinda feel like a 12 year-old most of the time. Maybe it's my social anxiety...I don't know. Yeah, I know it's that. It's so annoying to have, ok??!!
     I know every week I have to brag about my Ink Masters, even though my dream man isn't on anymore. Last night was a really great episode. It's coming to a time in the game where I don't want any of them to leave because I've gotten used to them and they are all like family you see every Tuesday. The challenge this week was realism and portraits, and let me tell you Sarah rocked a great child portrait. Tatu Baby did too with the small size of the picture she was given to work with. The other three, in my opinion, had some trouble. Steve did awesome, but he just needed to lighten the color up a bit. Sebastion really needs to stop with the light background and dark front. If he did that then his tatts would be awesome. I love Jesse, I really do. But his tatt for this week cost him the title Yes, that's right...sweet Jesse was voted off. I was so sad to see him go. He is such a sweet guy. I love his personality and his whole person. He's so cute!! I'll miss him so much.
Next Tuesday is the finale. I can't believe it. They are having a two hour episode is what I'm hearing. So they'll be two kick-offs and the final two will be live. That's right, LIVE!! It'll be one awesome episode and I can't wait to see it. I'll miss you Jesse, you did good work.

Ink Master review and some randomness of the day.

I was stoked to watch Spike last night to see who was staying/leaving on Ink Master. 10pm finally rolled around and I flipped to that channel faster than a diet is blown on Thanksgiving.
Anyways...The flash challenge was all about doing dimension on David Navarro's guitars. In the end none of the judges liked any of the guitars. Jesse ended up winning, but they weren't really happy about it because apparently they chose the "best of the worst." During the show they (the guest judge, the regular judges, and a couple of the contestants) were giving Jaime hades because after 17 years of tattooing he doesn't have ONE tattoo on his body. To make a long story short...Jaime got voted off. I was really nervous because there is only five weeks left; that's when the competition really fires off. I just felt bad for Jaime because he's so sweet. Bottom line: they basically kicked him off because he has no tatts of his own and you can't have an Ink Master without having any tatts, which I think is stupid. That's like taking acting lessons from someone and not considering their work JUST because they didn't star in some big hollywood production and then saying "Oh, you're not fit enough to give lessons because you have no clue what the business is about." Give me a break!
I'm anxious for next week's episode, it looks mighty interesting...at first I had a lot of confidence that Jesse would win based solely on his new-school AND doing other styles, but after last night he said he would rather go home doing his work than something that's not him...so that makes me nervous. After last night, I'm now betting on Steve. That gorilla tattoo won best of the week (and he's won like 5 times so far).
     Ok, so Christmas is pretty much on it's way. I have the radio on the Christmas channel for about 12 hours a day. I know that is probably pushing it, but it only comes on once a year, so I take it for all it's worth. The thing I can't stand is the newer music. I don't like the remakes of classics such as Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Dean Martin, just to name a few. I know we live in the 21st century and we need updated stuff. But I personally don't like the modern twist on classics that I like. No one will be able to hold a candle to Bing's White Christmas or Noel etc. Oh sure they can try and it may even sound nice, but I will take the classics any day of the week. They sound much more homey and Christmas-y, not like some chessy concert you pay $25 to go to. Which is what a lot of the modern Christmas songs sound like. They put more heart in the songs they sung back-in-the-day than they do now. Now it's all about money money money. They do a pathetic job and get paid for it. If that's how it's done than please bring a recording studio to my shower-sessions and I can "sing" too.
